TF-CBT  2-Day Training

Dates:              September 18th & 19th, 2018

Time:               8:30am – 4:30pm each day.

Check-in will begin at 8:30am each day and training will begin promptly at 9:00am.

Cost:              $249 before August 15th

Required:  Attendees must complete the TF-CBT web based learning course prior to this two-day workshop. TF-CBT Web2.0 can be found at https://tfcbt2.musc.edu/ .This web-based training provides 11 CEUs and costs $35. Please submit your TF-CBT Web certificate of completion to training@sweetser.org on or before September 18th, 2018.

Certified TF-CBT Trainer:  Jessica L. Griffin, Psy.D. is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS), where she has been a faculty member since 2006.  Dr. Griffin is a nationally recognized expert in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).  She has trained and provided consultation for thousands of clinicians across the United States.  As Principal Investigator and Executive Director, with funding from SAMHSA/NCTSN in 2012, she developed the UMMS Child Trauma Training Center, with a focus on training, treatment, and resolving access issues youth who have experienced trauma.  Dr. Griffin is a clinical and forensic psychologist with a specialty in forensic assessment of children and families, particularly with regard to childhood trauma.  She has extensive expertise in childhood maltreatment and trauma, psychological assessment, and divorce and custody matters.  She presents regularly at local, national and international level on topics related to childhood trauma, TF-CBT, and forensic evaluation of children and families.  Dr. Griffin has been featured on NPR, Fox News, the Insider, iHeartRadio, and is the psychological expert on a television docuseries about marriage and divorce, on the Lifetime Network’s: the Seven Year Switch and Married at First Sight.

Notes:           Coffee, tea, water and light snacks will be provided.

                        There will be a 1-hour lunch break and attendees will be on their own for lunch.

At the end of the two day training you will be provided with a certificate of completion denoting 12 contact hours.

  • During this training, there will be an opportunity to speak with the trainer about how to sign up to participate in a consultation call series for an additional fee.
