In-Person September 2024- Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Basic Learning Community in Denver, CO for CAC clinicians and for those who have linkage agreements with a CAC/contract with a CAC

This live training will take place in person in Denver, CO, September 11, 12, and 13, 2024, from 9 am – 5 pm (MST). There will be a second virtual learning session on December 12, 2024, from 9:00am – 3:00pm (MST) / 11:00 am – 5:00 pm EST with Ashley Fiore, LCSW. We are applying for CEs through NASW and NBCC. This will be an interactive and participatory training experience with pre-work and action period assignments that build participants’ skills at implementing TF-CBT with children and families with fidelity and clinical competence. Clinicians will receive a training packet, private online access to over 800 downloadable clinical resources for TF-CBT, access to a private TF-CBT Clinical Discussion Forum with other participants and includes 12 group consultation calls.

Additionally, there will be a free, virtual 3-hour senior leader track available to assist participants’ supervisors with implementing TF-CBT in your CAC led by Geoff Sidoli, LCSW. The purpose is to support client engagement and facilitate successful completion of the model, learn ways to use outcome data to support best clinical practice and secure funding, and to sustain TF-CBT practice in your organization.  Senior leaders/supervisors will meet for virtual training on August 29, 2024 from 10:00am – 12:00 pm MST / 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm EST and also participate in a mid-point group consultation call. Please include your senior leader/supervisor’s name and email address with your registration.

Pre-Training Assignments are due September 3, 2024 Note: It is important that participants complete all Pre-Training Assignments to maximize their learning during training, which will focus on applying those concepts. The first of 12 group consultation calls will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024, 12:00 pm -1:00 pm MST / 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm EDT.

Attendees should have an active caseload appropriate for TF-CBT and be ready to apply the model. Supervisors are welcome to attend training; however, if they are not carrying their own active TF-CBT cases, they will not meet criteria to seek national certification.
